Canon MP210 Compatible Cartridges

  The Canon PIXMA MP210 is an all-in-one office printer that combines high-end faxing, copying, scanning, printing and photo printing. Features include high-quality 600dpi scanning and a snap-and-print technology that allows you to send photos from your camera phone directly to the printer. The PIXMA MP210 is also an Energy Star product, meaning it is "25 percent more energy-efficient than conventional models." The printer can also create high-resolution photos up to 4800 x 1200 color DPI, according to Canon. For maximum quality, Canon suggests using several types of ink cartridges.

PG-40 Black

• The PG-40 Black, made by Canon, produces "rich black text along with high-quality images," according to Amazon. The ink cartridge costs about $22.99 for a single black ink tank, as of November 2010. The PG-40 Black is also sold in a twin pack that costs $41.99, as of November 2010, for a savings of approximately $1. Prices may be lower, if purchased from websites or stores other than Canon. In addition to being compatible with the PIXMA MP210, the PG-40 Black is also compatible with a wide range of Canon PIXMA printers.

CL-41 Color and Black

• The CL-41 Color and Black ink cartridges, made by Canon, are perfect for printing photographs. The cartridges feature Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) ink cartridge. This means that it has a printhead that produces "exceptional sharpness and detail." The cartridges also feature the ChromoLife 100 system, meaning it can create long-lasting, high-quality photos when used with photo paper. The CL-41 is also designed to resist fading and weathering on photos. The CL-41 Color and the CL-41 Black are each priced at about $26.99, as of November 2010, and are recommended by Canon for use with the PIXMA MP210. PG-30 Pigment Black

• Also recommended for the PIXMA MP210 is the PG-30 Pigment Black Ink Cartridge. The ink is designed especially for the PIXMA series and is said to "Keep your printer running smoothly," according to Overstock.com. The PG-30 is available in only black and is best used for text printing. The PG-30 Pigment Black is priced at about $16.99, as of November 2010.
