Chino Hills consistently wins awards that justify its self-proclaimed status as The Jewel of the Inland Empire. Money Magazine ranked it 68 on its Top 100 Best Places to Live, a 2006 Census Bureau survey found that it had the sixth highest median income in the nation, and in 2008, low crime statistics made it number 13 on the FBI's list of safest cities.
Big League Dreams

Chino Hills sports enthusiasts can go play at Big League Dreams, a franchised athletics center that creates replicas of classic arenas. The facility offers youth baseball, youth fast pitch softball, adult slow pitch softball and indoor soccer leagues at fields designed to reproduce Yankee Stadium, Ebbets Field, Crosley Field, Tiger Stadium and Fenway Park. The facilities are also available for special events.
Chino Hills State Park

Chino Hills State Park offers 65 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding on 14,102 acres. The park also hosts campfires, school programs, nature hikes, Junior Rangers and educational talks. Overnight camping is available. The Chino Hills Interpretive Association welcomes volunteers to help lead nature walks, operate the native plant nursery and other natural resource projects, or join the park's safety patrol.

The Chino Hills branch of the San Bernadino County Library offers a full menu of literary-themed and educational activities for all ages. Among these are poetry clubs, story hours, a teenage literary magazine, homework help, driver's education and computer classes.

The City of Chino Hills maintains over 3,000 acres of open space, 40 parks, and 37 miles of trails for walkers, hikers, runners, bicyclists, and equestrians, as well as youth sports leagues and educational programming. Mobile Recreation program is a 25-foot self-contained truck filled with sports equipment, arts and crafts supplies, homework supplies, board games and snacks for kids aged 5 to 13. Parks and Rec also welcomes volunteers; there is a wealth of opportunities to help out.
