  Many companies employ corporate trainers to provide on-site instruction to their employees. Corporate trainers may be responsible for holding sessions on various topics such as new policies and procedures, company products, new employee orientation and computer programs. Their job requires creating presentations and speaking skills.

• Corporate trainers have to be knowledgeable on their subject matter in order to share information with their colleagues. When they are not providing training, corporate trainers spend a lot of time learning and understanding the material they have to present. Tech Savvy

• Corporate trainer characteristics include being able to utilize audio-visual equipment for their trainings and presentations. While many companies may have staff to set up equipment for presentations, corporate trainers usually understand the set-up in the event technical issues arise. They know how to set up a computer with a projector to show Powerpoint slides as well as how to use VHS and DVD players to show videos. Corporate trainers that hold trainings in computer labs often have to know how to set up the computers and assist participants with certain tasks such as logging on and locating applications and websites.
