How to Remove the Rear Seats on a Ford F-150

Whether you want to upgrade your Ford F-150's stereo system or you need that extra storage space, underneath the rear seats is the best place to install them. There are many aftermarket products that can maximize the space under the rear seats of your Ford F-150. Most of these aftermarket products can be easily installed just by removing the vehicle's rear seats.

Open all of the doors of your F-150 to give you better access to the rear seats.

    • 2

Flip the rear seats up until the tops of the rear seats are against the back of the front seats.

    • 3

Remove the bolts for the rear seats with a socket wrench. Two bolts are at the back of the rear seats, three bolts are on both ends of the seats, and two bolts hold the middle support brace.

Flip the rear seats back down against the floor and open the seats to their normal position by pulling up on their back rests.

    • 5

Lift the rear seats from one side and slowly remove them. The rear seats are bulky so you may require some extra hands to help you remove them from the vehicle.
