Differences Between the Razr2 V8 & V9

  • Operating System

    • The V8 uses both Java and Linux for the user interface (UI) and operating system. The V9 on the other hand uses the Motorola Synergy UI. This was actually the same UI that was used by previous Razr models.

    Memory

    • The V8 comes in two versions with different internal memory for the users to fill with media. One of them has 512MB internal memory while the other version has a whole 2GB. The V9 only has one version and it has a small 45MB of internal memory.

    Additional Memory

    • While the V9 may have only 45MB of internal memory, it features a microSD memory card slot. This means that users can purchase additional memory sticks to use in the phone and therefore exceeding the amount of memory that a V8 could hold. The V8 does not have any memory card slots.

    Price

    • Price wise, as the V9 has more features than the V8 and is more expensive. However, the price difference is only around $20 to $30 depending on the retailer.
