Features of the Palm Pre Phone

• The Palm Pre is a smart phone that runs Hewlett Packard's new HP webOS operating system, as of October 2010. And it is not just the operating system that is new with the Pre, Palm has also unveiled several new features and tools, including a user-friendly email suite and a unique charging dock.

3.1 Inch HVGA Touchscreen

• The Palm Pre has a 3.1-inch diameter touchscreen, offering 24-bit color in a 320-by-480 resolution HVGA display.

Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard

• The Pre also comes with a built-in, slide-out QWERTY keyboard for messaging, emails or data entry.

HP webOS Platform

• HP's webOS Platform allows you to surf the Internet and perform fulling integrated email and messaging functions. It also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity.

Digital Camera with Video Capture

• The Pre is equipped with a 3-megapixel digital camera, including LED flash, extended depth of field, geo-tagging (identifying a photo file by location), and video capture.

Built-in GPS and Maps

• The Pre comes loaded with a built-in GPS, so you can use apps such as Mapquest or Google Maps to navigate. You can also get point-to-point directions, a satellite view or current traffic conditions with a tap on the touchscreen.

Touchstone Charging Dock

• Another new feature of the Palm Pre is the Touchstone charging dock. This unique charging dock is allows you to set the Pre on the dock facing up. The Pre will continue to display notifications while charging and will automatically switch all incoming calls to speaker-phone mode.
