Flat Tummy Tips

  • Eat Smaller Meals

    • Many of us eat three large meals a day, but it is most advantageous to eat smaller meals several times a day. This method will curb your appetite and control your blood sugar level. Make sure that these small meals or snacks are not in excess. You want to consume only what your body will need.

    Ab Exercises

    • Strengthening your abs is crucial to a flatter stomach. The quality of your sets and reps is more important than the quantity. Make sure you work the correct abdominal muscles. Don't worry about doing your exercises too fast, but concentrate on controlling each muscle for an overall shaping and strengthening effect.

Drink Plenty of the Right Liquids

    • Cut back on carbonated drinks or drinks with sugar substitutes. These can both cause bloating and distention in your abdomen. Drinking water is your best option. By drinking plenty of water, you not only remain hydrated, but you are also better able to digest your food properly, which is another way to reduce abdominal bloating.

    Eliminate or Reduce Certain Foods

    • According to WebMD, foods with lots of sodium are often highly processed and can increase bloating, so reducing the amount of sodium intake is important. Also, eliminating or cutting back on beans and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower can also cut back on gassy bloating.
