GMC is a division of General Motors that also manufactures Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and the former Saturn and Pontiac brands. In 1962, GMC was know as GMC Truck. The division produced several larger vehicles such as buses, pickup and cargo trucks. The GMC trucks came in a wide array of interior and exterior colors.
1962 GMC Models

The GMC C/K series was a pickup truck first produced in1960 that existed in many different variations until 1999. A series of GMC trucks capable of hauling heavy loads also was produced in the GMC L-Series/Steel Tilt Cab, GMC Yukon and GMC DLR models. The GM transit bus also was produced by the division and was heavily used across the country for public transportation. Sizes of the bus ranged from 28 to 41 feet long.

The GMC models this year featured a choice of colors that included Delta Green, Terrace Blue, Crystal Green, Varsity Blue, Strata Blue, Omaha Orange, Chrome Yellow, Flame Red, Palomino Tan, Harvest Yellow, Olympic White and Pearl Gray.
1962 GMC Interior Colors

Interior colors were just as robust in variety. The GMC models this year were constructed with the choice of Silver Gray, Charcoal Gray or Sage Green, which all were carried over from the previous year. In addition, new interior colors introduced in 1962 were Gray Textured, Green Textured, Silver Fawn, non-gloss Charcoal Fawn, non-gloss Terrace Blue, non-gloss Varsity Blue, non-gloss Delta Green and Fawn Poly.
