How to Make Microsoft Works My Default Calendar

Microsoft Works includes various applications for creating documents, spreadsheets, databases and calendars. While some Windows computers have other calendar programs such as Outlook, you may want to use Works to open calendar files on your computer. Microsoft Works supports the iCalendar (.ics) and vCalendar (.vcs) file formats. If you download calendar files from the Internet or receive them through email, you can make the Microsoft Works Calendar the default program for opening these files.
