Good Thank You Gifts

  • Coffee and Tea

    • Keep a few boxes or packs of flavored coffees and teas around the house to give out as thank you gifts as you need them. Retail stores frequently offer these around the winter holidays and can be found on sale for discounted prices after New Year's Day. When someone helps you with a project, you will have these around to wrap and give out.

    Discount Coupons

    • Keep an eye out in your local newspaper and when shopping for discount coupons. These could be for "buy one get one" offers from local restaurants or a percentage off a purchase at local stores. These coupons will not cost you any money, but they will help the recipients save money at restaurants or stores they may shop at frequently.

    Gift Cards

    • Choose a gift card for those whom you wish to thank. Spending a large amount of money is not necessary; a $5 or $10 gift card is enough for the recipient to enjoy a beverage or lunch. Personalize the gift by choosing it for a type of retailer the recipient enjoys such as a local ice cream shop for someone who loves ice cream as an evening or afternoon snack.

    Homemade Snacks

    • If someone is helping you with a project, offer her a homemade snack as a thank you gift for the assistance. This can be something like rice cereal bars or cookies as a sweet treat. It could also be something more substantial such as stew or chili to enjoy as a meal.

    Wine or Champagne

    • If the person you are thanking enjoys an alcoholic drink every so often, purchase a bottle of wine or champagne to thank him for his help on the project. Purchase one of your favorites, giving him a chance to try something new.
