Parle Products is an East Indian-based confectionery company, with a heritage spanning decades. It is India's largest biscuit and confectionery company. Its products reach some of the country's most remote areas.

Founding

• Parle Products was founded in 1929, while India was still part of the British Empire. The company began in a small factory in Mumbai. Originally selling candy, within a decade, Parle branched out into biscuits.

Awards

• Parle Products has received acclaim in the Monde Selection process, which rates product standards for companies worldwide. Since 1971 the company has received 111 gold medals, 26 silver medals and 4 bronze medals for various product lines.

Market Domination

• From humble beginnings, the company has endured and grown claiming, at its height, 40 percent of India's biscuit making market and 15 percent of the confectionery sales nationwide.
