Holley 7448 Specifications

    • The Holley 7448, also known as the 350 CFM, is a two-barrel carburetor. Carburetors are components within an internal combustion engine that blend air and fuel. These universal-type, two-barrel carburetors are manufactured to increase performance in Ford, Chrysler and GM vehicles.

    Features

    • Holley markets this carburetor as having a manual choke, a 30-cubic-centimeter accelerator pump, one timed (spark) port and one positive crankcase ventilation port. These carburetors are factory wet-flowed and calibrated so that their settings are very close for all adjustments; that is, they do not have to and should not be adjusted greatly.

This carburetor has a power valve rating of 85, indicating the piece's manifold vacuum below which the power valve is operational.

    Intended Use

    • This engine component is intended to be used as a stock performance replacement for two-barrel street applications and for mandated carburetors for some oval track racing sanctioning bodies. This carburetor is not compatible with automatic overdrive transmissions. It can be placed in Chrysler, Ford and GM models of vehicles to increase performance.

    Other Specifications

    • These carburetors are intended to be used in Chrysler, Ford and GM vehicles, and they have specific instructions for installation in each type of vehicle. The recommended fuel pressure for fuel lines is 5 to 7 pounds-per-square-inch; this is important to verify after your new carburetor is installed. This carburetor is calibrated at 70 degrees at sea level; the jet size primary and secondary should be decreased by one for every 2,000 feet above sea level.

These carburetors are broached, flowed and stamped in the factory to indicate flow rate. Jets should not be drilled.
