Remove paper jams in the paper trays. Remove each tray and verify that the jam is not within that slot. Depending on the model, the interface may provide you with a tray number or a diagram where the jam is located. At times the printer needs to be opened to access the rollers and printing processors to remove the paper.

Change the toner cartridge to allow the Canon Imagerunner to continue printing. Depending on the model, the cartridge location will vary, but once located it can be removed with a firm tug and then the new toner cartridge can be put in its place. The device will normally notify you if the cartridge is running low before printing becomes affected.

Reconnect the printer to the network to allow wireless usage from multiple workstations. If the network is wired, then reinsert the local area network (LAN) cable or any other connector being used. Power it off and back on, and then attempt to use it again. If using a wireless network and the Canon Imagerunner model you are using is compatible with a wireless network, then re-enter the settings and the address and ensure the correct network key is entered.

Clean the scanner tray to remove streaks or debris that may be distorting the scanned images. Use a non-abrasive cleaner to avoid damaging any sensitive areas.

Ensure the power plug is secured to the device and the outlet being used is working correctly. If there is a main power switch, make sure it is powered on. If using multiple devices in a small area, try relocating some if possible, and use a surge protector to avoid power surge damages.
