How to Add Someone on the AOL Sign On Screen

Storing names on the AOL Sign On screen lets you automatically log into your AOL account whenever you open the screen. This is extremely convenient if more than one person utilizes AOL on one computer at home or place of business. There is no limit to the amount of names that can be added to the Sign On screen. You also have the option of syncing the screen name's password with that name on the Sign On screen.

  Open AOL Sign In.

  Click "Preferences." A window appears.

  Click the "Screen Names" tab in the window. Click "Plus:" ("+") under the "Screen Name" box found inside the window.

  Type the screen name you're adding inside the "Screen Name" box. Choose "Prompt for Password" or "Password Saved." Those that select "Prompt for Password" must enter the password for the AOL Sign In name inside the "Enter Password" and "Confirm Password" boxes.

  Click "OK." The name is stored.
