How to Braid a Phiten Necklace

The Phiten necklace is infused with specially processed titanium. It is worn by sports participants and those with medical concerns in an effort to relieve pain. It has gained attention due to its increased use by professional athletes. Many wearers prefer to braid their Phiten necklaces with a simple three-strand braid.
    • 1

Lay the Phiten necklace on a table so it lies perpendicular to the table edge in front of you.

    • 2

Form a loop to your left so the loose end of the Phiten crosses under the main part of the necklace. You now have three sections of the Phiten. From left to right, label them two, three and one. Two and three are the left and right sides of the loop, and section one is the free end.

    • 3

Draw the end (section one) of the Phiten necklace through the loop by passing it over section three. Pull section one under and to the left of section two. From left to right you now have sections one, two and three.

    • 4

Twist section three over section two so it is now between section one on the left and section two on the right.

    • 5

Pass section one through the loop formed by sections three and two by drawing it over section three, under section two and off to the right side. The order from left to right is now sections three, two and one.

    • 6

Twist section three over section two. Your Phiten necklace is now from left to right sections two, three and one, just as it was after your initial loop. Repeat the braiding process from the beginning until you have braided the entire length of your necklace.
