How to Change Batteries in 20Q

The 20Q is an award-winning digital handheld gaming device based off the nostalgic 20 Questions game. The Canadian company PlaSmart, Inc. launched the pocket-sized 20Q in 2004, which allows a player to ask the device up to 20 questions in order to guess what item the device is thinking about. The 20Q, available in three languages and four colors, is powered by AAA batteries, so if your system will not turn on, the batteries have likely drained.

Turn the 20Q over so the bottom is facing up. The battery door is in the middle; remove the single screw holding it closed with either the Phillips or flathead screwdriver, depending on the screw type.

Lift off the battery cover. Remove the two AAA batteries from the compartment by gently pulling up. Insert the new batteries into the 20Q one by one, ensuring the protruding end of each battery is touching the flat side of the battery holder, and vice versa.

Replace the battery cover and reinsert the screw, tightening it with the screwdriver.
