How to Change the Mailing Address on a Letter

In order for your letter to be delivered to the correct person or business, the recipient's legible address needs to appear near the center of the envelope. If you are filling out an envelope and write down the incorrect address, or if you write it illegibly, you will have to correct it before you send it. It may be easiest to just throw the envelope out, but if you have already affixed the postage or if this is your only envelope, you may not have that option.

Unscrew the top of the liquid paper bottle and remove the brush applicator.

    • 2

Wipe the brush over the address mistake. If it is a small mistake, just wipe over that section. If the entire address is wrong, cover the entire address. Dip the brush back into the liquid paper bottle to reapply the liquid as needed.

Wait a few minutes for the liquid paper to dry.

    • 4

Write in the correct address over the dried liquid paper.
