How to Get Bids on Shipping Your Motorcycle

If you want to purchase a motorcycle but want to get the best deal, a non-local purchase might be your best bet. If you do decide to get one on the west coast but you live on the east coast, you will have two options to get it. If you have the time, you can fly out to where it is and ride it back. The other option is to hire a motorcycle shipper to pick it up and bring it to you.

Take a photograph of the motorcycle. Jot down the vehicle identification number. Find the size and weight of the bike in the owners manual. Arrange the location as well as where and when it's available to be picked up from.

Go to Uship.com. At the top left of the page you will find a drop down menu called "ship." In that menu, select "List your Shipment." Progress through the steps and enter the noted motorcycle information where requested.

In a matter of hours you will be recieving a number of bids by Uship.com shippers. They will be independent contractors who offer services through the website. The benefit of Uship.com is that each shipper will be rated ranked by past customers. Once the bids arrive, click on the profile of each shipper. It contains all the relevant information you will need to know including insurance, payment, and any other applicable information the shipper wishes to provide.
