How to Change a Registered User WoW Account

World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). It is popular with players from all over the world. The game is available for a cost, and you have to download it onto your computer. It also has several available expansions, all with intricate graphics. If you are interested in changing something about your account, you can, but sometimes it will cost you a fee.
  • Changing Basic Account Information

      Log in to your World of Warcraft "Account Management" page. You can access this from the main World of Warcraft page.

      Change your password, address, subscription information, email address and phone number(s) by clicking the appropriate link on the left-hand side of the screen. You will need access to your email address, however, to change your email or phone number(s).

      Call 1-800-592-5499 to speak to a World of Warcraft's billing and account services representative if you are missing vital information to change one of the above items.

    Changing Character Names

      Log in to the "Account Management" page. Under the heading "Paid Services," locate "Paid Name Change," and click it.

      Review the next page, which warns you that you'll have to pay $10.00 and provides other information about the change. Click "Continue."

      Select the realm that contains the character whose name you intend to change. A table will appear with the names of your characters within this realm. Click "Change Name" beside the appropriate character.

      Enter the new name into the box provided and click "Continue." When you've entered a name that is both available and valid, type "I agree" into the box when prompted, then "Continue."

      Enter your payment information and click "Continue." Your character will now bear the new name.
