How to Conference on a Polycom

A conference call is an effective way to have a quick or even a long meeting among two or more parties across great distances. Even with all the mobile technology that exists today, the business world still uses mostly basic conference calling. Polycom makes high-end equipment for hands-free conferencing by businesses. Most ordinary phones are capable of three-way conference calls, but Polycom equipment can be used to make conference calls among up to five parties.

  Dial 9, then 1, then the area code and phone number to make a call, or press "On/Off" to receive an incoming call.

  Press the "Flash" key. This puts the first party on hold.

  Call the second party by dialing 9, then 1, then the area code and phone number.

  Press the "Flash" key again to connect all parties. Repeat these steps for each additional party you want to add to the conference call.
