How to Check Advanced History

Clicking the "History" tab on Internet Explorer's top menu is the easiest way to view and check its browsing history. However, "History" tab files are easy to delete, and they usually store Internet files no older than three weeks. A more advanced way to find old or deleted files is by checking the temporary Internet files folder. The temporary Internet folder stores files that are months old.

  Open Internet Explorer. Click the "Tools" button located to the left. A list of options will emerge from below.

  Scroll down to "Internet Options" and wait for a box to pop up.

  Select the "Settings" button.

  Select the "View Files" icon located towards the left. Doing this will open a comprehensive listing of all your Internet browsing history. Use the search function to search through these files.
