How to Clear the Administrator Password

It is important to always to keep your computer secured. Windows provides you with the opportunity to do this via a password. Passwords are especially important in administrator accounts, which have the most privileges in Windows operating systems. Sometimes, a standard user needs administrator privileges to perform certain tasks. If you do not want others to know the password but you want to let them use the administrator account, you can temporarily clear the administrator password.

      Turn on your PC.

      Log in to the administrator account. To change the administrator password, you must log in as the system administrator.

      Hold "Control" and the "Alt" buttons and press "Delete."

      Click "Change a Password."

      Type the old password. Typing the old password proves that you are the actual administrator. Leave the "New Password" and "Confirm Passwords" fields blank. Press "Enter" to confirm your new login password.
