How to Clear the Voice Mail Envelope on a Treo

The Treo cell phone is manufactured by HP Palm. The Treo comes equipped with voice mail features. The voice mail icon, which looks like an upside down phone, will appear at the top of your Treo display screen when you have voice mail. If you do not want to see the voice mail icon on your phone, remove it from the Treo's display.

  Press the Menu button located near the bottom right-hand side of the keypad on your Treo phone to get to the main menu.

  Click "Options" from the Treo's main menu.

  Select "Phone Preferences."

  Click "Clear Voice Mail Icon" and the voice mail icon will disappear from the front of your Treo phone display. Any saved voice mails remain in your voice mail system even though you have removed the icon.

  Press and hold the number 1 to access your Treo phone voice mail when the icon is not present.
