How to Connect Dell Axim to Dynex Route

The Dell Axim is a PDA that runs the Windows Mobile operating system. The Axim allows you to manage your calenders and contacts, and it also includes a built-in wireless-networking adapter. Once connected to the Internet, you can access your email and even surf the Web using Internet Explorer. If you are connecting to a Dynex router with you Axim, you will need the SSID and the network key to gain access to the network.
  • Locating SSID and Network Key

      Log into the Dynex router using a computer connected to the network. To log into the router, open your favorite Web browser, then type "192.168.2.1" into the address bar and press the "Enter" key. By default, no password is required to access the back-end of the router, however, if you have set a password, enter it to access the router.

      Click "Channel and SSID" to view your SSID, which is the name broadcast by the router.

      Click "Security" to view your network key, which is the password required to access the router wirelessly.

    Connecting the Axim

      Press the "Wi-Fi" button the on front or side of the Axim (depending on model) to enable your wireless networking adapter.

      Tap the "Start" button, then tap "Settings" followed by "Connections."

      Tap "Network Cards," then tap "Configure Wireless Networks."

      Tap the network SSID that you would like to connect to, then enter the network key. Click "Connect" to connect to the Dynex router's network.
