How to Connect to a Wireless WEP
Wired Equivalent Private is a network security method that is implemented on a number of routers and older devices. It is not recommended for use in modern computing environments because it is not secure and can be easily cracked. Due to its security issues, Windows 7 will not automatically set up or connect to a shared WEP network. You can manually create a network profile that supports WEP and connect to it through the Network and Sharing Center.
