How to Disable the Headset Accessory on a Cricket Phone

Using a headset with a Cricket phone helps you converse hands-free. The audio from conversations is routed through a Bluetooth headset that is slipped over one ear. The headset accessory can be disabled at any time without deleting the connection between the headset and phone. After disabling the headset, you can enable it at any time. Depending on the model of your Cricket phone, the steps might vary slightly.

      Touch or press "Menu" on the Cricket phone while on the standby screen. Depending on the model, select "Settings" or "Tools."

      Select "Wireless and Networks" or "Connections" to access the headset's settings.

      Select "Bluetooth" and touch or press the headset accessory's name.

      Select "Disconnect" or "Disable" to disable the headset accessory. You might be asked to press "OK" to confirm you want to disable the headset. Press or touch "End" to exit to the phone's standby screen.
