How to Disable a Keyless Entry on an Aurora

The Oldsmobile Aurora is among the many vehicles from the manufacturer that offers keyless entry capabilities. The Aurora allows you to program your remotes from the driver's seat of your vehicle in just minutes, or you can disable the remotes if you wish to stop using the accessory. This process can be done during the programming sequence and will have your remotes inactive in just seconds.

Enter your car, insert your key into the ignition and leave the key idle in the "Off" position.

    • 2

Remove the panel directly below and to the right of the ignition slot, using a flat-head screwdriver or a butter knife. The panel snaps in and out of place and should be removed gently so as not to scratch the car. Locate the car's data port

    • 3

Connect the terminals labeled 8 and 4 on the data port using your jumper wires.

    • 4

Wait for the locks to click to indicate that the programming sequence is active, and then close the driver's side door.

    • 5

Turn the ignition to the "On" position and wait for the locks to cycle again. This will clear the remotes from the system. Do nothing further to leave the remotes disabled and inactive. Remove the jumper wire to end the process.
