How to Downgrade iTunes 7.6.2 for the iPhone
If you are not happy with a recent version of iTunes or if it is too slow for your system then you may want to downgrade the version. Unfortunately, if you also use an iPhone then you may require a certain iTunes version to be able to sync. As of November 2010, four implementations of the iPhone have been released: iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. The iPhone 3G brought in the requirement that iTunes must be upgraded to version 7.7. If you are using the first generation of iPhone, however, then you can use any version 7.3 or later edition. You simply need to download the old version.
