Start Outlook and select the folder with duplicate contacts in "Contacts." Click "Change View" on the "View" tab in the "Current View" group.

Click "Phone" and "View Settings" on the "View" tab in the "Current View" group. Click "Columns" and "Frequently used fields" in the "Select available columns from" list.

Click "Modified" in the "Available fields" list and click "Add." Click "Move Up" continually and then stop when "Modified" appears as the beginning of the "Show these fields in this order" list, and then click "OK" two times.

Hold down "CTRL" in the list of contacts to select each duplicate and press "DELETE" when finished.

How to Eliminate a Duplicate in Outlook
Duplicate names and email addresses in your Outlook program can result in you unknowingly sending a recipient an email twice. To avoid doing so, you must take more time to sort through your contacts when sending a mass email. To avoid this waste of time and effort, you can eliminate all of your unwanted duplicates in Outlook with a minimum amount of effort.
