How to Enable and Disable the F1 Sleep Mode on a Studio 1737
The Dell Studio 1737 is a notebook computer that runs the Microsoft Vista operating system. This affords it many of the laptop specific options that were included with Vista installations, such as custom power settings and the hybrid sleep mode, which shuts down hardware to save battery power and can be initiated by pressing the "F1" key. While this can be convenient, it can also become a hindrance, as the computer may have difficulty returning to operating mode and the "F1" key can easily be pressed by accident. Fortunately, this behavior can be disabled in the BIOS menu.
