How to Fill Ink Cartridges in a Lexmark X4875

Refilling the ink cartridge on a Lexmark X4875 is not very difficult; however, it is important to know that not all ink cartridges sold for this particular printer can be refilled. It is important that you have a covered surface to work on since refilling an ink cartridge can be quite messy. Refilling ink cartridges can save money in the long run, even though refillable cartridges are a little more expensive in initial cost.

  Remove the label from the ink cartridge. The black refill hole will be at the top of the cartridge. Use a toothpick to check what color goes in which hole; there will be cyan (blue), magenta (red) and yellow.

  Fill one syringe for each color with 7 ml, and fill a syringe with 15 ml of black ink.

  Insert the syringe into the fill hole, and fill until the syringe is empty or until the ink seeps out.

  Replace the ink cartridge into the carriage of the printer. Run a test page for each color.
