How to Find Who Someone Is From Their "Mafia Wars" Profile

"Mafia Wars," a multiplayer browser game created by Zynga, claims to have more than 65 million players. Despite its social media connections, Zynga, by default, does not give players the ability to see the person behind the character they play as. If you're interested in teaming up with someone new, this means all you have to go on is the character. However, there are ways to get around this barrier and to find out the name of the other player.

  Click the name of the character whose player name you wish to reveal.

  Right-click "Profile" and click "Copy Link Location" or "Copy Shortcut."

  Navigate to the Mafia Wars Toolbar.

  Right-click the text box and click "Paste." This pastes the profile URL into the box. Click "Go."

  Click "View Facebook Profile," where you should see the player's real identity.
