How to Get Into Windows If I Can't Remember My Username or Password
You may be trying to log into your Windows account and find that you cannot access it because you have forgotten your user name or password. If you are connected to a Windows network and had an account assigned to you, such as on a corporate network or a university computer lab, you will need to contact your administrator or help desk to perform a network password reset. If the computer is not connected to a Windows network and is simply in a local workgroup, you can reset your password using a password reset disc or portable USB flash drive. You can only perform this action if you created a reset disk when you created your account.
