Click the Start menu and select "Run..." Type "msconfig" and press the "Enter" key. This will launch the System Configuration tool.

Click the "General" tab. Select the button labeled "Expand File."

Click "Browse file" to navigate to the location on the hard drive that stores the .CAB file. Single-click it and select "Open."

Navigate to the desktop. Right-click anywhere on the screen and select "New" and then "New Folder." Type a name for this folder and press "Enter."

Click "Browse file" again to navigate to the new folder you just created on the desktop. Single-click the folder and click "Open."

Click "Expand" to expand the .cab file.

Navigate back to the desktop and double-click the new folder. Look for the file "setup.exe."

Double-click "setup.exe" to start the ActiveX installation process. Follow the onscreen prompts and click "Finish" to complete the installation.

How to Install ActiveX From a CAB
ActiveX controls allow you to navigate through interactive content on the Web through the Internet Explorer browser. .CAB files are essentially the compressed version of ActiveX installation files. In order to install ActiveX, you must expand these .CAB files. You might need administrative rights and privileges to perform this task.
