How to Install Bath Mirrors

Applying makeup, performing your morning and nightly grooming rituals --- the bathroom mirror isn't just an interior decorating choice, but an essential part of any functional bathroom. If you find yourself in need of an updated look or a replacement, keep this in mind: Though it's not difficult to install a bathroom mirror, it's critical that the mirror is level and securely fastened to the wall. If not, you run the risk of the mirror falling off, shattering and injuring anyone nearby.
    • 1

Measure and mark the wall where the top of the mirror will hang.

    • 2

Place a level flat against the wall at the mark.

    • 3

Trace along the level to create a straight line on the wall. This will be your guide to install the mirror so it is level.

    • 4

Place a yard stick on the line and trace the yard stick so that the line is longer than the width of the mirror.

    • 5

Mark a spot on the line where the center of the mirror will be located.

    • 6

Mark a spot on the line where the left and right sides of the mirror will be located.

    • 7

Measure the distance from the top of the mirror to the pre-installed clips located on the back.

    • 8

Mark a spot on the wall where the clips will be located after installation of the mirror.

    • 9

Measure the distance from the top clips on the mirror to the bottom clips. Mark this location on the wall.

    • 10

Hold the mirror against the wall at the marks made.

    • 11

Affix the screws provided with the mirror through the clips to attach the mirror to the wall.
