How to Install a Flasher on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The flasher on your 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee is responsible for powering the turn signal and emergency flashers, or hazard lights. The small, can-shaped piece plugs straight into a fuse block that is located behind the cowl trim panel. Getting to the panel can be a slight challenge. However, once you have accessed the fuse block, the rest of the repair is fairly simple. Consult an auto parts store when purchasing a replacement flasher as a professional can ensure that you have the right one for your Grand Cherokee.

Locate the plastic cowl panel underneath the steering wheel of your 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Unscrew the three screws that hold it into place with a screwdriver.

Push the two plastic pinch brackets on top of the cowl panel down and pull the cowl panel forward at the same time. This will expose the fuse block where the flasher is located.

Remove the flasher by pulling it straight out with your fingers. Push the replacement flasher in.
