How to Install a Metacrawler Tool Bar

MetaCrawler offers a free downloadable toolbar for Internet Explorer that allows users to search the MetaCrawler engine directly from their browser's search field. Installing the toolbar will make MetaCrawler your default browser search engine.

  Download the software. Visit the MetaCrawler toolbar download page and click the link that says "Install" in Step 1 (See References). It automatically begins the download process.

  Install the software onto your computer. In the subsequent dialogue box, click "Open" to install the toolbar and instantaneously add it to your Web browser settings.

  Check whether the software installed correctly. Reboot your computer. Open Internet Explorer on your computer, and ensure that MetaCrawler is now your default search engine in the search box.
