Clean the fish tank or plastic cooler with water. Scrub off dirt and other impurities such as paint from the surface.
- 2
Pour tap water up to the ¾ mark on the fish tank. Tap water contains chlorine, so let the water stand for at least 3 to 4 hours for the chlorine to settle to the bottom. Alternatively, you can add chlorine neutralizer to the water, available from any fish or aquarium shop.
- 3
Put the Cocahoe Minnows in the fish tank or cooler. See to it that the fish tank is placed in the coolest part of your house to keep the water temperature cool.
- 4
Install the aerator in the tank to oxygenate the water. Add the Catcher release formula in the water to keep the fish healthy, vibrant, and colorful.
- 5
Feed the fish twice a day only; once in the morning, and once at night. Too much food in the tank can cause overgrowth and be bad for the Minnows.
- 6
Clean the fish tank occasionally. Replace a fourth or a third of the water with fresh water. You don't have to transfer the minnows during this process. An ideal cleaning routine would be twice a month. This will help keep a healthy living environment for the fish.
- 7
Secure the top of the fish tank with a wire mesh. Affix the wire mesh on a wooden frame and place it on top of the tank to keep the fish from jumping out.
