Place the container of tea bags in a drawer in the refrigerator. If you do not have drawers in your refrigerator, place the container near the back of the refrigerator to keep the container from being exposed to temperature change every time someone opens the refrigerator door. The idea is to keep the tea bags as dry and cool as possible. If your refrigerator has a moisture-control switch, turn the switch to the "On" position to eliminate moisture buildup in your refrigerator.

How to Keep Tea Bags in the Refrigerator
Tea bags are vulnerable to light, air, heat and moisture. Exposed to any of these, the tea leaves can become stale and eventually lose flavor.Store your tea bags in sealable bags, covered, airtight food storage containers or both. When tea bags are subjected to moisture, the tea leaves can grow mold and contaminate other foods. Many new refrigerators have a moisture-control switch to decrease the level of moisture in the refrigerator compartments. Turning on the switch will help prolong the life of tea bags in your refrigerator.
