How to Mail Tires

At a time when so many products are sold online, including both used and new car tires, it is not uncommon to have to ship these items across the country. Mailing car tires to their new owner may seem like a daunting task but in reality requires only a little more effort than mailing a sweater. With a little planning, you can expect to ship your tires to their recipient with minimal difficulty.

  Obtain a cardboard box large enough to fit the tires in. You may need several boxes to ship all the tires. Large plastic tubs may also work.

  Place a tire in the cardboard box or tub and secure for shipping. Put a shipping label on the box with the recipient's address and contact information on it.

  Take the box to a shipping company that handles large packages, such as FedEx or UPS. Have the package weighed and shipped.
