How to Make Window Cleaner for a Squeegee

If you need to wash a large amount of glass, having a squeegee will make the job quicker and easier. Knowing how to make your own window cleaner to use with a squeegee helps make the job cost-efficient. You can make a bucketful of window cleaning solution that works just as well as any commercial type with items you probably already have around the house. This recipe can save you money and will effectively cut through dirt and film and leave behind a lemon-fresh scent.

      Pour one pint of rubbing alcohol in the bucket. Rubbing alcohol helps break through any smoke residue and grease that may be on the windows.

      Squeeze a couple squirts of regular dish detergent into the bucket. The detergent will help cut through any regular dirt and grime.

      Place a few drops of lemon essential oil in the bucket if you desire a fresh citrus scent. A little goes a long way, so just a few drops is sufficient. Lemon oil is also believed to have antfungal and antiseptic properties.

      Pour enough warm water into the bucket to fill it.
