How to Monitor Bluetooth Traffic

Wireless Bluetooth technology isn't just used to connect a headset to your telephone --- it can also be used to establish a high-speed wireless network connection between two or more devices. The traffic over one of these connections refers to the amount and type of data that is being transmitted via Bluetooth. You can monitor this Bluetooth network traffic using the Microsoft Windows Task Manager.

  Right-click the task bar.

  Click "Start Task Manager."

  Click the "Networking" button.

  Scroll down through the "Networking" screen until you see the "Bluetooth Area Connection" listing. The constantly updating graph is displaying your Bluetooth network traffic. You can track the amount of traffic that is going back and forth over the network, as well as what devices are currently connected to it.
