How to Monitor HP Printers

Monitoring an HP printer on your computer involves using a utility that is native to your operating system, found in the Control Panel. This utility lets you monitor not only the current activity of your printer (allowing you to see what jobs are printing and which are queued up to be printed at a later time) but also your HP printer's settings as well as ink cartridge levels.

Right-click on your HP printer's icon, and click "Properties." This will allow you to monitor the various settings of your HP printer. This window will also show you the current level of ink in the printer's ink cartridges, which can give you a good indication of how long it will be before the cartridges need to be replaced.
