Choose the style of tires you want. Drift tires will allow your car to move sideways through turns; all-terrain tires will allow your car to tackle difficult terrain; and street tires will provide the best performance on paved surfaces.
- 2
Unscrew the nut holding each tire onto the axles of the car and remove the wheel.
- 3
Gently remove each tire from its rim. There may be some resistance from the glue that the tires were applied with.
- 4
Apply the new tires to the rims, and secure them in place with RC glue.
- 5
Place the rims back on the axles, with the new tires installed on the rims.
- 6
Tighten the wheels in place with the nuts so the nut is snug but not hindering the wheel's ability to spin.

How to Mount 1/10 Scale Tires
Remote-controlled race cars come in two primary scale sizes, 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale. While the 1/8th scale models are capable of going faster, the 1/10 scale models are a great choice for beginners as they are easier to control. When using a 1/10th scale model, the time may come where your tires wear out, or when you simply wish to change the style of tire to match an upcoming race.
