How to Remove a Live ID From Live OneCare

Microsoft Live One Care protects your computer from viruses and spyware, optimizes your system and helps you back up and share files. When you install Live OneCare, you have to use or create a Microsoft Live ID account to use the Live OneCare services. If you use the free trial and need to register the service with another Live ID in the future, you can use the Live ID removal tool to reset the program's registration.

  Download and save the Live OneCare ID removal tool. Right-click on the file, and choose "Run as administrator." Click "Run" and "Continue."

  Click "Continue" when the tool starts, and click "I accept the terms of the End User Licensing Agreement." Click "Continue" and "Start." Follow the wizard that appears.

  Open OneCare when the installation finishes, and click "Subscribe" to use a new Live ID in Live One Care.
