How to Remove Mold & Mildew Smell From a Canvas

Canvas stored in basements or attics can develop a mold or mildew smell. Tents, backpacks, awnings and other canvas products that may come in contact with moist conditions may develop the smell faster. To prevent the smell from coming back, do not put away moist canvas, and store the canvas in an air-tight bag.

Lay the canvas in the sun to dry for at least two hours or until the canvas is no longer damp.
