How to Remove Printer Scripts

Scripts are text files used by system administrators to control settings on your computer each time you log in to Windows. The scripts are inserted into the Windows registry. The Windows registry has a "Run" key, which runs programs and scripts and opens files each time Windows starts. To remove the script, you need to delete the registry value that points to the script. This stops the printer script from running on your computer.

Navigate to the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" registry key. In the center pane, notice several programs and files that start each time you boot Windows.

Right-click the registry key that contains your printer script, and select "Delete." In the confirmation window, click "Yes" to verify that you want to delete the value.

Reboot your computer. The next time you boot, the script no longer runs automatically.
