How to Remove Win32 Zlob Amv

Win32 Zlob AMV is associated with many deceptive security programs that pop up various misleading alerts in response to multiple virus threats. This malware infection changes your Internet Explorer settings or other running browser by redirecting the default home page to a malicious website. This attempt to alter your home page gives a hacker or the malicious program itself the ability to download and execute unwanted programs.
  • HijackThis

    • 1

      Download and install HijackThis (see Resources).

      Double-click the "HijackThis" application shortcut, and click the "Do a System Scan Only" button.

      Click the "AnalyzeThis" button to create a log of possible infections.

      Click the "Start" button and type in the name of the infected files from the log in the search box.

      Right click each file, and click the "Delete" option from the menu. Restart your system.

    Malwarebytes

      Download and install Malwarebytes (see Resources).

      Double-click the "Malwarebytes" application shortcut to open the program. Click the "Scanner" tab, click the "Perform Full Scan" radio button, and click the "Scan" button to start the scan.

      Click the "Show Results" button once the scan is complete.

      Click the "Select All" button, and click the "Remove Selected Threats" button to delete the files.

      Exit Malwarebytes, and restart your system.

    AVG Free Anti-Virus

      Download and install AVG Free Anti-Virus (see Resources).

      Double-click the "AVG Free" application shortcut, and click the "Computer Scanner" tab on the left-hand pane of the program window.

      Click the "Scan the whole computer" option. Once the scan completes, click each threat and click the "Remove" button.

      Close AVG Free and restart your system.
