Visit job centers in your local area. Job center representatives can help you find jobs available in your local area, as companies often provide job centers with newly opened positions.

Attend local job fairs with copies of your resume. Job fairs are a collection of companies in the local area that are looking for candidates for open job positions. Companies that are found at job fairs are there to speak with curious candidates, who have questions, concerns or are simply interested in learning more about the companies or open positions.

Start networking with friends, family and professional contacts in your area. You may know someone who knows someone who is looking for a job candidate. Also, professional contacts are good to have, as they can guide you, advise you and put you in contact with other professional contacts.
