How to Send a Certain Number to Voice Mail

Everyone gets the occasional call that she doesn't want. However, when these calls become frequent, annoying, and even bothersome, one of the easiest ways to handle the situation is to send the call to voice mail. Ignoring an incoming call part of the way through lets the caller know that you're truly ignoring the call. Sending the call directly to voice mail, however, could mean several things and gives the caller very little idea as to what's happening with the call.

  Do not delete your call log after the annoying call comes through.

  Bring up your call log by pressing the green "Connect" button.

  Find the number that you would like to automatically ignore and press and hold on that number.

  Select "Add to Contacts" from the pop-up menu. Give the contact a name and press "Save."

  Locate that contact in your "Contacts" or "People" app. Press it once to open the contact.

  Place a check next to "Send calls directly to voice mail" and confirm. Back out of the contact to commit changes.
